The countdown is on to announcing our schedule for this fall. Let me tell you – it’s going to knock your socks off! We’ll be announcing in June so stay tuned. We’re thrilled to celebrate our fifth year as a Festival!
Festival staff members are currently working behind the scenes to make this year’s Ontario Festival of Small Halls the best yet. Chatting with hall hosts, securing big name artists, connecting with municipalities, partnering with community dinners, communicating with media promotions, finalizing dates – it’s all happening.
Ontario Festival of Small Halls is in the news again – but this time, with a focus on our intrepid general manager, Kelly Symes. Take a look at this piece from the Ottawa Citizen that features Kelly as one of three women who are working to improve the local music scene!
Did you know that we have a new venue this year in Winchester? We’re so excited to welcome the Winchester United Church to the hall roster this fall. This church is a community gathering place through and through – with the community rallying to restore, reconstruct and reimagine it several times since construction started in the 1880s. A labour of love that is a fixture in Winchester, the church includes stunning features such as stained glass windows, a pipe organ and local limestone which was cut by hand from a nearby farm. Find out more about this unique venue here.
