Deck the halls with the Ontario Festival of Small Halls! We are expanding our hall-iday shows this year and bringing big names in holiday music to five special little places across Eastern Ontario to get into the spirit of the season.
Starting Thursday, Nov. 30 at the Almonte Old Town Hall, Còig will entertain with their A Very Celtic Christmas program. They continue to add shimmer and shine to the holiday season on Friday, Dec. 1 at Seeley’s Bay Community Hall. One more show to be announced!
The following week, The Once returns after dazzling Small Halls audiences last December, performing at the Merrickville United Church on Thursday, Dec. 7 and at the DACA Centre in Dacre on Friday, Dec. 8. The hall-iday shows will be a chance to gather together, celebrate community and dive into the season’s festivities.
The Ontario Festival of Small Halls is bringing Còig, one of Atlantic Canada’s premiere traditional groups to local stages. During explosive performances, Còig incorporates driving tunes, haunting songs and infectious energy. The Festival is also excited to welcome back Newfoundland’s, The Once, to fill the beloved halls with music. The Once is an award-winning modern indie folk trio based in St. John’s.
Tickets are $25 in advance/more at the door and are on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 20. Please read more about tickets and the musicians here or call phone at 613.402.1425. All shows start at 7:30 p.m.
Be sure to connect with the festival on social media as the month progresses for more updates. We can’t wait to rejoice in the holiday spirit with five special small halls this year!
