Oakfield Rugby Park is the home of the Lanark Highlanders Rugby Football Club, and was lovingly built by hand – plank and nail and board – by members of the club during the COVID pandemic. Situated on 20 beautiful acres, 10 minutes east of Perth in the heart of Lanark County, the park consists of four rugby fields, a 300-year-old Oak tree, and a magnificent clubhouse. Oakfield Rugby Park was officially opened in July, 2022. The clubhouse’s Great Room features a vaulted, raftered ceiling, a large stone hearth, an iron chandelier, a fully equipped, copper-topped bar and lively acoustics. The clubhouse also has a caterers’ kitchen, two fully-appointed change rooms and houses a state-of-the-art European gym.
“Oakfield Rugby Park was created to become both an athletic centre of excellence as well as a regional cultural hub, supporting and promoting “play” in all of its aspects.
“Come to Oakfield and see. Hoist a frosty pint of Guinness with friends and neighbours at one of our traditional celtic-styled “Sunday sessions” or at a formal concert in our intimate, fireside setting. All are welcome here.”
