Long weekend, artists and Small Halls gratitude

Let us be your long weekend soundtrack! Turn up the tunes from the Festival of Small Halls Ontario‘s Canada Spotify playlist to get a taste of some of the incredible artists who will join us this fall. Dream about seeing them live in treasured spaces this fall! See our playlist here.

Did you know that many of the talented artists on the Small Halls schedule this year are touring internationally? For example, after Stephen Fearing wraps up his Small Halls shows in Pakenham and Sydenham, his next tour stop is the United Kingdom where he’ll play seven shows! Similarly, just before his performances at Small Halls in Athens and in McDonald’s Corners, Colter Wall will be jet setting to shows in Ireland, the UK and Denmark. Just think – Europe one day, rural Ontario the next. We can’t wait to welcome these artists!

A handful of additional shows are nearing sell out status!  We’re urging you to secure your tickets if you haven’t already so you’re not disappointed. Gather your friends, plan a date night, go solo, or even grab Grandma and get ready for a Small Halls experience you’ll be talking about for years to come. This is it, folks – an incredible live music event happening right in your backyard! Get your calendar and pencil it in.

We’re so thankful for all of the support we get to make the Ontario Festival of Small Halls happen. From community associations to major sponsors, and from rural accommodations to federal agencies, we couldn’t do it without you. Please take a minute to peek at our Supporters page to see who takes good care of us. Beau’s has even been a champion of Small Halls for the past several years – show your support and raise a glass. Cheers!

Our community events are also taking shape. From a market to art shows, and from a gourmet barbecue to an on-site chip truck, our host hall committees are hard at work to bring you fabulous experiences before and during the show. Take a look here to make your plans!

Be on the lookout for our annual brochure and community posters around your local small towns soon. We’re just finishing up creating both and they’re almost off to the printers! Watch our social pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and we’ll notify you when the posters are ready to share.

We love this time of year when the anticipation starts to build for the opening of the Festival. Not long, now!
