Local tickets now available and other fantastic events happening this week!

We received great feedback from you last week after Kelly appeared on TV! She joined Bill Welychka on the CKWS Morning Show to chat about the festival and to pick out a few stand-out artists coming to perform this year. A stop was also made in Smiths Falls to chat with Kathy Botham at COGECO. Word is spreading about the festival – and about the vibrancy and uniqueness of your local community spaces.

Did you know? The festival sells tickets in most host communities! Local tickets were sent out and delivered last week to halls which sell some admissions within their communities. We heard back from numerous locations like Lyndhurst, Delta and the DACA Centre in Dacre, that people were buzzing about the tickets arriving! For more information on where to purchase these tickets, please give us a call at (613) 402-1425.

Some shows are getting down to the wire with ticketing. This past week, the Seeley’s Bay Community Hall event, featuring Ashley MacIsaac, sold out online. There are still a handful of local community tickets left at the Nest Egg, located at 133 Main St. but don’t delay! We’re so excited that people are jumping on board to explore big music in cherished community halls. Appreciation to all who purchased and we’re looking forward to welcoming you already.

In other news, there are many phenomenal events taking place this summer around Eastern Ontario and the Ottawa Valley and we want to get them onto your radar! The Almonte Celtfest is celebrating its 21st year by bringing in some outstanding artists to perform from July 7th to July 9th.  Its mission is to celebrate and promote the Celtic heritage of the Ottawa Valley through music and dance and to make this accessible to all. This year’s artists include Anna Ludlow, Searson, De Temps Antan, Branches of Silver, and many more. For more information, visit www.almonteceltfest.com
