Jessica Wedden added to Deck the Small Halls bill; local tickets available now

We’re so excited to announce that Festival of Small Halls fav fiddler, Jessica Wedden, will open both shows for comedian, Jimmy the Janitor! This fiddling dynamo will light up the stage at the DACA Centre in Dacre, as well as at the Lombardy Agricultural Hall on Dec. 7 and 8.

Jessica is a 16-year-old upbeat Celtic, East Coast and Ottawa Valley style fiddler, trick fiddler, step dancer, composer, 2016 & 2018 Canadian Folk Music Award nominee and 2018 Canadian Songwriting Competition semifinalist.

Add to that Jimmy the Janitor’s sharp wit and guaranteed laughter – and you have an incredible night out! Don’t miss it; these shows will be the talk of the town. Tickets here!

David Myles recently got in touch saying that he’s really looking forward to the shows at the Seeley’s Bay Community Hall on Nov. 30, as well as at the Balderson United Church on Dec. 1. We can’t wait to get into the festive groove with David – a true Canadian talent. These shows are two of only three Ontario dates in December for David!! He’s coming to us all the way from Prince Edward Island and then going back out east after our shows to play in Fredericton, NB.

Local tickets have hit the street in some communities so be on the look out! The DACA Centre in Dacre, which is hosting Jimmy the Janitor is letting everyone know that there are a bunch of personal ways to snag tickets to get in on the laughs. Local tickets for that show can be purchased by emailing or messaging dacacenter on Facebook Messenger. Also, phoning or texting Lonnie at 613-585-0639 or checking out Gourley’s Variety on Hwy. 132 works, too – or just hit up any of the DACA Centre board members!

Lastly, did you see Royal Wood on CTV last week? Take a look here. What a great voice – it just wraps you up and tells you everything’s going to be alright. See Royal Wood at the Winchester United Church on Friday, Dec. 7 or at the Almonte Old Town Hall the night prior – only a handful of tickets left for that one.

Psst! We’re getting into the festive spirit big time! You may just see us at a community parade or two this weekend handing out treats. If you do, be sure to say hi and happy hall-idays! On that note, did you know that in past years, people have used our holiday shows for staff Christmas parties, employee gifts and more? Come make memories with us!
