Festival adds two more small halls to Ontario schedule!

Big news: the Ontario Festival of Small Halls has added two more halls to our beloved venue schedule for this fall!

Joining the 30 others on the schedule is St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (Kilmaurs) and the Tamworth Legion Hall (Royal Canadian Legion Branch 258).

These halls are deeply rooted in their communities and we’re so pleased to bring them on board for this year. Learn about all the halls on our schedule: click here to see the full hall list.

We had a great week, securing more artists and nailing down dates for our shows. The excitement is building – stay tuned for our big line-up announcement in the next few weeks! We can’t wait to share the news with you, so keep an eye on this space and on our social media on Facebook and Twitter. Be sure to join our mailing list, too! For the first time ever, the festival also hosted two meetings this week, specifically for our hall connections. We brought our hall hosts together at St. Andrew’s United Church in Pakenham and at the Portland Community Hall to talk about everything from ticketing to local openers. Joining us around the table were hosts who have been with us for three years and those who are looking forward to their first Festival event this fall.

The beauty of these round tables is that everyone learns from each other, forges connections, shares ideas and they ensure communities are on the same page heading into the busy summer season.

Ever wonder what it’s like at an Ontario Festival of Small Halls show? We welcomed numerous media personnel in locations across the region last year to find out.
